Sue Eldred
Vocals/Cowbell
Sue was raised in the metropolis of
Hastings, NE. After being kicked off the
6th grade football team for being “too
rough,” she was encouraged to try
music because there was less “contact”
involved. She wrote her first song at
the age of 10, about catching crawdads
in the creek. She didn’t stop there
though, she learned several
instruments; cello, guitar, piano and
violin. Singing and performing is her
true passion but she continues to play
all her instruments with
great mediocrity.
Music has allowed Sue to channel her
“wild child” antics into a more
productive energy… I think they call it
stage presence… or maybe it’s the
caffeine! Singing with a variety of
bands over the last 13 years has given
her the versatility to sing a Whitney
Houston song, then maybe a Tina
Turner song.
Sue moved to Tulsa, OK at the
suggestion of her “wild” cousins who
helped fine tune her social graces with
many “coming out” parties. There was
an altercation with an OU football fan
who refused to agree that NU had a
better football team that convinced Sue
she wanted to move back to NE.
